My Journey So Far (Week 9)

I started out with this. I’m pleasantly surprised about how far I’ve gone– it’s only been 9 weeks! I learned a numerous amount of concepts; not limited to simplifying an image, getting the correct color scheme, and learning the basics of typography. I can walk down the streets and look at an image differently and in a way I haven’t before; determine if it properly conveys the whole message of the poster, and the like. I’ve also learned that I encounter a various amount of typography each day; and I am unknowingly influenced by it as well. I’m proud to say that I can distinguish between good and bad typography– something I wasn’t able to do a few weeks ago! I’ve also noticed that some designs are just plain awful, some are okay, some are great, and a few are just awesome. One can only imagine what a few weeks can do to you… However, despite all these wonderful discoveries, I’m going to embark on a different sort of journey… something called Computer Science (sounds magical, right?) I’m starting out with the basics (like learning how to make the animations within the program move and creating worlds), but I’m totally convinced that it’s a good start. I’m determined to make it even more worthwhile than the first journey!
