Final Reflection

Well id like to start off by saying that this year was a blast full of ups, downs and overall new experiences. As for AMP i found it to be a very intriguing method of teaching. However i don’t believe AMP/TAG was simply limited to teaching, it has evolved into a journey of self discovery, an adventure if i may. Some people were immediately jump on board and begin while others where not quite as prehensile me being the latter. This leads me to a question that seems to hang in the air for every one, was this (the Mac Lab, AMP, Media Art) just another class that some people got who others didn’t? Is this something that will soon be forgotten as we move on, pursuing our lives in other career fields? Was this nothing but another year of high school under our belts and in the past? I Believe that answer is simply no.

Well what can i say, AMP is one of the most intriguing things I’ve “happened upon” this year and i believe that it very well could become an innovation of the future…with a little modification. AMP is like a a piece of coal and with a little refinment i believe that it could be a beautiful diamond one day. From my personal experience the raw version of AMP works only for a select few, while a select few picked it up like a fish to water, many of us began to sink. I believe that what Amp requires most is but a smudge more guidance, a Dumbledore to our Harry Potter, a Gandalf to our Frodo. I believe that if we can come together as a unit and work on making AMP the best that it can be, that it can blossom into something amazing. In the words of the late great Albus Dumbledore “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”

TAG was a genius idea that captivated me from the start. The thought of turning a boring class into a fun adventure. I real like it got so many people into learning. I saw slackers become workers, me being one of them. I loved feeling like an adventurer, like i was beginning a journey that would lead to so much more. Although I didn’t  learn much as far as computers go, i did learn so much about myself and how to live my lie to the fullest.

ZIM though a great idea can never exist in harmony, the fact that there is so many part to this machine leads to the fact that gears are going to grind. There are to many different people with different ideologies. In a perfect world we could all coexist but the fact of the matter is we live in an imperfect world with a variety of people and ideals.

Koppel-What Am I Going To Do About It

Well i believe myself to be very informed for my age. Every day i come home after school and put on the news. I keep up to date on on current events and have a strong opinion on most current matters which i suppose may be something i can work on. As a very stern conservative my views on more liberal subjects are very negative. In response to Koppel i have decided to try to soften my conservative views, perhaps be more accepting to the views of others even if they oppose what i believe. So my goal that i have set is acceptance, to be open to the thoughts and beliefs of others and give their point of view fair consideration.

Response to Koppel

Well after reading the quote provided on the blog. I really mulled over this simple plea to not just live as a blatant cog in the machine of society. Does Koppel not hold such a valid point? Most of us high school students enjoy our freedom from the world around us but is ignorance really bliss? I don’t believe so, the benefits of being an informed citizen of our great nation is something to be cherished. Many places throughout the world don’t even have TV’s to keep them updated on whats currently going on around them. My point is we shouldn’t take advantage of the technology available to us. Theres no such thing a being to young to have an educated opinion on our world. Slow down and open your eyes, look at the world around you, get educated be informed and begin early preparation to being an adult.

Week 32 Post

After re-reading the code of honor i plan to stick with my idea to try to make a flash game. Though I don’t know much I’ve been reading many tutorials and i think i just might be making progress. Well thats all for now!

Improvement!!!

ok so I’ve been working really hard on my “BOOM” project and have come a long way. I’m not done yet but i thought id share this picture to keep you updated on my progress. I hope you enjoy it. As always have a nice day!!

Progress…(Week 23)

Sorry i haven’t posted in a wile I’ve been hard at work on a the project you see to the left. As i said its a project and still has something to be desired. I have been rummaging through multiple tutorials to find ones that suite my needs and slowly but surely I am making progress. I am really enjoying Cinema 4D and am planning on diving deeper into C4D and bringing you some more visually appealing works of art. Until then thanks for reading and have a great day!

The Grid, Color Theory, Principles of Art and Design (Week 11)

I am currently very confused about the projects listed above n the title. I am trying to figure out how to incorperate the grid into a design but have come up totally blank. Color theory seems to be pretty self explanatory i suppose but I’m not sure what exactly I am expected to do with this knowledge. Don’t even get me started in Principles of Art and Design i am absolutely bamboosled!

MY Journey So Far (Week 9)

As i began my journey i entered a dense fog and i thought i would never be able to find my way out. However, this initial fog is slowly beginning to clear and slowly but surely i believe i am starting to understand more and more. My logotype currently looks like the image shown above. While its not perfect it is much better than my previous attempts. So i continue on looking forward to the exponential growth that is bound to happen under the guidance and constructive criticism of my peers.
