| step 3: Yes, we could turn the strokes into a mask to reveal the fill but there may be times when a mask would hinder later steps in your creation. (Figure C) | ||||

| step 4: The answer is as follows. Select the lines and Modify > Shape > Convert Lines to Fills. (Figure D) | ||||
