project: Using Sound in Animations |
||||
|
||||
| step 1: Use the same file as before or open import_sounds_02.fla. Add a new layer above Ball and name it. (Figure A) | ||||
| A | ||||
| step 2: Since we'd like the ball to make a sound when it hits, we need to Insert > Blank Keyframe (F7) on that frame on the Sounds layer.(Nothing can happen without keyframes!) (Figure B) | ||||
| B | ||||
| step 3: Click on the keyframe in the Sounds layer and drag your sound onto the stage. Nothing seems to happen (unless you look at the keyframe). (Figure C) | ||||
| C | ||||
| step 4: Make sure the Sync is set to Event. (Figure D) | ||||

||||
| step 5: Command-Return to see and HEAR your animation. (You have to press the play button. (Figure E) | ||||
| E | ||||
| step 6: Multiple sounds are just as easy. Open using_sound.fla (Figure F) | ||||

||||
| step 7: Create and name a layer above Ball. Insert > Blank Keyframe (F7), open the Library (Command-L) and drag the sound onto the stage. (Figure G) | ||||

| step 8: Repeat for the other keyframes (but not the first one!). (Figure H) | ||||

| step 9: Command-Return and press the play button. (Figure I) | ||||

| step 10: Start to see how easy this is? Inserting Looping Sounds isn't that much more difficult. | ||||
