Dreamweaver MX Pasting Links

If you remember, we copied the link info from this tutorial

This will take about 5 to 10 minutes but at the end you'll have links to and from all your pages

Just start at the top and work your way down

Double-click on 01.html in the Site Window

Highlight the text as shown

No need to hit Delete, just Paste (Command-V)

Since we're on 01.html there's no need for the link so select 01 and one of the vertical dividers

Press delete and there you go

Save and close this document

Open 02 and select the text as shown

Command-V to paste then select 02 and a divider

Press delete and...

Save and close this document

Continue down the list

Yes, even the index page

Delete, save, close...

Continue until finished

When you've pasted links on all the pages, click ONCE on your index page

Press the F12 key and...

Dreamweaver shows you how your page looks in Internet Explorer (our primary browser)

Ignore the file name at the top—it's a temporary page dreamweaver creates

Move your cursor over About this Site

And click!

The word Title may appear different than mine (it depends on the default font set for your browser)

Don't worry about that because you'll have the opportunity to change that (later—not now)

Click on About Me and...

Notice the color change (your Home page might also be a different color)

This indicates the page has been visited

Continue until you've checked all your links

Way to go!

All your pages are linked and ready for content (words and images)
