MX Creating a Shortcut Page
Since you will be recreating this page many times, let's make a shortcut for ourselves
As you can see (below), the document is untitled Dreamweaver also includes the folder and file name for the document (in parentheses) The asterisk (*) means the document has unsaved changes
First, give the document a title (type in the Title text box and hit Return) The title appears at the top of the document window Save your file now (notice that the asterisk is no longer in the title bar)
Don't close the window yet
You know that Command-S (the Command key is the Apple key) is the shortcut for Save The next shortcut you should learn is Shift-Command-S for Save As...
Use the Save As... command to save your index.html file as something else
Notice how the Save As dialog box opens with just the word index highlighted Dreamweaver knows we're going to change this part of the file's name
Type 00 (two zeros) and hit return (or click on save)
We don't want the rest of of our pages titled Welcome to My Website! so change the title, hit return, and save the file so it looks like the one below
Close the window (Command-W)
Open the Site Window (the shortcut is the F8 key, remember?) You now have two pages
So far so good
