Fireworks Preference Settings
In order for Fireworks to play nice with Dreamweaver you must make the following adjustments to the program's preferences
Launch Fireworks and navigate to Edit > Preferences...
The Preferences dialog box opens
Click on the pull-down menu and select Launch and Edit
The window changes to reflect the Launch and Edit settings
Change both options to Always Use Source PNG
Hit Return or click OK
Navigate to File > HTML Setup...
If your menu is grayed-out, you must open a new document in Fireworks (Command-N)
The option will now be available
The HTML Setup dialog box opens
Make sure Dreamweaver HTML is the designated HTML Style
Change the Extension to .html
Check the Lowercase File Name box
You shouldn't need this because we always use lowercase, right?
Make sure Dreamweaver is the designated File Creator
When your setup looks like this, hit Return or click OK
If you haven't changed Dreamweaver's Preferences, do so now.
