Flash MX Button Sound Basics

Move your mouse over the two buttons below

Now click on both of them (sound helps, eh?)

Here's how you do it...

Open your animated button file (or make a new one)

Double-click on the instance to edit the button and add a new layer

Click on the Over state and add a keyframe (F6)

Command-R to import a sound (File > Import...)

Navigate to the short_sounds folder and select a sound

Import a second sound

Command-L (or F11) to open your Library

Click on the arrow to test your sound

With the keyframe in the Over state selected, drag a sound onto the stage as shown in this movie

CLICK ARROW TO PLAY MOVIE

Make sure the Sync is set to Event

Repeat for the Down state

Command-Return and...
