In this tutorial you'll learn how to create an animation that automatically cycles through a series of images

Open a new document and click on Size in the Properties Panel

The Document Properties dialog box opens

Change the frame rate to 1 frame per second (fps)

Note: In this example, I'm using images that are 600 x 300 pixels so I also changed the dimensions of the stage

Your stage is resized and the frame rate is set correctly

Navigate to File > Import... (Command-R)

Navigate to your images folder

If you number the images prior to importing (and place them in their own folder), Flash recognizes them as a series and asks:

You can include words in file names such as: pic_01.jpg  pic_02.jpg  pic_03.jpg etc. if you prefer

The time spent renaming a series of images is repaid with interest by Flash

After clicking Yes, Flash imports all the images and creates the keyframes for you
