Preloader Basics

Required on All Files Over 100k

This tutorial will teach you how to use a preloader. I'm not asking you to write the ActionScript or redesign the preloader itself. I'm telling you that all projects larger than 100k must have a functioning preloader. Here's the preloader file for you to use.

1 – Here's a look inside the preloader, how to test it, what's critical about the ActionScript (the start Label), etc. Just watch the movie.

2 – Here's how to use the preloader. Just follow the steps and you can't go wrong so long as you have the start Label the preloader is looking for (or you hack the ActionScript).
