This tutorial will teach you how to update your site as per the requirements for the first semester final. Here's an example of what you'll end up with (containing your files rather than mine, of course).
– Start by Modifying the Page Properties (do not edit the font list)
– Rearrange the text on the page
– Set up the text for links to your final projects for the semester
– Create an HTML page to hold your project (set the background color to match the color of your project's background), Insert > Media > Flash, and give the page a descriptive title
– Link to the new HTML page as shown and set the size of the window 1 pixel larger than your project
– Provide a link to an archived version of your project (and remember: if you update the swf you must update the archived file as well)
– Update your old links as shown (the title will reveal whether or not you followed through with this requirement)
– When you are finished you should have paired HTML and SWF files in your Sites folder as shown (I named the portfolio file incorrectly in step 4 and correct the problem in this movie)
– Set some custom styles using CSS in Dreamweaver to dress up your headings
– When finished, File > Save As to begin work on Phase 2 of the final
Note: Don't forget that you're required to add a preloader to any file over 100k.
