Empathy Compassion Integrity (67)

Empathy Compassion Integrity (67)

We are all different, Visitor. Yet in the Mac Lab, we share a collection of policies and expectations that have evolved over the past 14 years to protect the majority from the ever-present minority who wish to sow pain and discord.

I am BODHI. My role is to help you find your better self. It is out of kindness that I wish to convey to you the importance of this quest. I must warn you that the Boss will not tolerate those who aid, abet, or dare to inflict harm on others.

If you witness an offense and remain silent, you have become an accomplice. Deny it if you wish, but it is still true.

Proceed to learn more.

Many of us have inflicted pain on others at one time or another. We are human and we make mistakes. However, many of you have no comprehension of the scars your casual cruelty may have inflicted on your victims.

In the Mac Lab we are compassionate and kind but we do not tolerate the cowardice and insecurity of bullies.

Please don your headphones, watch this video, and try to empathize with the protagonist.

Do you now better understand how painful casual cruelties can become?

If you agree to become a part of the solution and rise above the casual cruelty many teens inflict on one another, please proceed.

If you do not agree, please let the Boss know that you plan to see your counselor after school to find another elective.

Please understand that the Boss will work with you if you face extenuating circumstances that impede cooperation and/or compliance with this or any of our policies and expectations.

Talk with the Boss. He'll listen. He's reasonable. He cares about you. But he's just a guy and he's the first to admit that he can and does miss obvious signals.

You have to let him know when something is wrong. He really does care. He only looks and acts like REAPER's uncle. It's part of his schtick.

If you agree to speak with the Boss when you witness or experience cruelty or are the victim of extenuating circumstances that he should know of, please proceed.

If empathy, compassion, integrity, and bravery are too much to ask at this point, do not proceed to Stage 4. Return to the POD page and begin the next quest in the sequence.

I'm proud of you, Visitor, and am honored to call you my friend and ally.

Always remember that light banishes the darkness.

As a small token of my appreciation, please accept 50 Gold.

Return to the POD page and begin the next quest in the sequence.
